TrendsThe last fashion weeks have shown that nothing is impossible chromatically speaking. This autumn-winter we surrender to the combo formed by purple and red

Although street style is no longer what it was due to the global situation, the prescribers still continue to inspire us with their looks in the fashion capitals. The last Fashion Weeks have left us some trends and looks that give us a clue about future trends. Some we see very far away (so much so that we will not take them until spring-summer 2021), but others are at street level and their user manual is immediate.

This is the case of this unexpected trend that we have detected in the latest fashion celebration. It is a succession of colors that we had never thought of but that has filled the looks of the experts: the combo formed by purple and red.

Nuria Luis, editor of this header, introduced us at the beginning of October to the shades that we would use this autumn-winter 2020/2021. In this list, supported by the catwalks, she told us that red would once again win the award for the most flattering color of all. If you add to this the purple fever that we experienced last year (and that seems to be still alive in the hearts of insiders) you will get the trend that is already hitting the asphalt.

Purple and red: the color scheme most unexpected (and seen) of 'street style'

We know, breaking out of the neutral color palette can be hard, but these three looks will make you think about it:

A colorful suit

You may already have a black, brown or white tailored suit in your closet. Yes, you can continue using them this fall-winter 2020/2021. But, if you are thinking of acquiring something different, the street style has shown that purple and red are the terrain that you have to explore.

The funniest fringes

Prescriber Leonnie Hanne, just like Jeanette Madsen or Emili Sindlev, is not afraid to use and experiment with color in her looks. Her street style outfits are colorful and always shed light on combinations that seem impossible. On this occasion, in Paris, he went to the fringe trend to join this tandem of colors. The result? FLAWLESS.

The everyday winter look

Taking risks can be fun, but sometimes we prefer to stay safe and simple. This is the case of this look seen at Milan Fashion Week in which the color block is the protagonist. Use one hue at the bottom and the other at the top. And remember commutativity: the order of the factors does not alter the product.
