Nicolas Ghesquière presented his most recent collection for Louis Vuitton within Paris Fashion Week, but never imagined that a protest on the catwalk would be what the reflectors would steal.

An activist, who managed not only to the parade but to the same catwalk, exhibited a blanket in which a strong criticism of the fashion and consumption industry was read.

The activist managed to walk until the end of the catwalk to immediately be killed for security and taken from the Louvre gallery where the parade was held.

Through a statement, Extinction Rebellion, Friends of the Earth and Youth For Climate, announced that about 30 people had participated in the protest and only two had been arrested.

With this protest, these organizations seek that the French government make an “immediate cut to production levels in the fashion sector, since 42 garments per person were sold in France” only in 2019.
