Your perspective on what fashion consumption should look like completely changed. "sustainability is an important factor in our society today. What some describe as transient fashion or a mere marketing campaign is actually a necessity. My sister and I bet on sustainable clothing, that is to say, the one that wears organic and natural tissues, thus obtaining a more lasting garment. It is the so-called slow fashion, a current that bets on the quality of the fabric, "Diana says.
With this philosophy, both sisters started their new company in full confinement. "we had plenty of time to think and develop the idea. Diana was teleworking, while I was finishing my studies, "says Paloma.
The project was formed thanks to their close contacts: "we have some friends in Ferrol who are engaged in the textile industry, and by raising the idea they helped us to carry it out. In Aivo we want our garments (sweats, t-shirts, hats, bags...) And the printing materials are certified and respect certain ethical and quality standards, so we work with 100% organic cotton garments and respectful inks that pass harsh certification systems at different levels: environmental, social and animal suffering, "he adds. In this sense, they argue that their mission is "to make durable, timeless garments that contribute to the ecological development of our environment".
With the online shop in Aivo running, they began distributing their first collections while combining this initiative with their respective jobs. "we have to thank our mother, because she serves as a link between our friends and our ideas. Had it not been for this help, it would have been very difficult for us to get it through, "Diana confesses. They currently indicate that they are shipping across Europe. "those who are sent to Spain are free. We are also now receiving requests from businesses interested in selling our brand. We will soon set up a network of collaborators who will help us expand the project, "they say.
