Some jeans and a shirt that hung from the hanger of a closet of the 70s.Ancient looks, from lost times in history, revalue and sneak back into the fashion circuit.

The twin sisters began to design garments from a young age to convert their hobby into a profession.“My father has always painted and we have always been drawing with him.

There he aroused his interest in vintage and since then, they are hooked on this way of dressing.10 years ago, the capital was full of stores that offered different garments. And the vintage is a cheap and fast way to have it, ”says Laura on the other side of the phone.

We wanted to exploit our creativity," they say. Thus was born his new dedicated project, of course, to women's vintage clothes.

Laura and Marta rescue pants, jackets or dresses that some person wore in other years to give them a second life. To separate ourselves from the typical city store, we saw that the only way was to have more careful and selected garments," says the designers, who make a screening of the garments that pass through their hands, and later, they fix them. For them it is essential that they are perfect before putting them on sale, "some are missing buttons or are unhappy and, in addition, we always take them to the dry cleaners".

The twins began to search for models with a hearth in February 2020, just before the crisis exploded.

The situation forced them to reorient their concept with which they are comfortable, although they do not rule out resuming that idea on another occasion. De momento, están al pie del cañón con Alto Copete un nombre que tiene un significado especial para ellas."Quilla, you go high copete" is an expression that Laura and Marta have always used to tell their friends that they are very fixed. When a list of possible names passed to their friends, they did not hesitate to choose it, it reveals, in addition to a brand, art and grace that defines them.

In the designer's closet are high -end clothes, of quality, of an endless Italian, French and American brands, and some Spaniards, and some Spaniards. Being more than 20 years old, they are already recognized as vintage."Nothing but we have a size piece," he says. They are unique, there is no other, something that gives you added value.

The sisters love to investigate the origin of clothes, look great at the details and take a look at the history of fashion to find out.

The twins have a dress made in the early 60s. Up to 60, all were metallic and from there they began to make plastic ”.They also have another embroidery with flowers that assigned to the 70s and "when we went to wash it had a label that put 1972".The garment itself confirmed the date of his birth.

In turn, Laura and Marta emphasize that with Alto Copete they facilitate the acquisition of clothing, a priori, inconceivable.“We have a Dior wool sweater that costs 85 euros and in the 80s of 2.200 euros did not go down, ”they add.

That is already exaggerated," they say.The sector is booming, but in Spain it seems that it has not yet taken off.

An ambitious project of the Madrid rapper that consists of four singles recorded in the same session. The voices of Antonio Carmona, Kiko Veneno, the Hungarian and Child of Elche have joined in a flamenco painting where "almost all carry something from us".

The person in charge was the actress, dancer and stylist Carla Paucar, who asked the Jerez to send her shirts and dresses with "a 2000 roll".

We are loading the planet with fashion.Unfortunately this industry has a lot to do with that. Y la moda vintage lo suple, la ropa se puede volver a utilizar y no contamina”, explican."It is no longer only the sustainability of the planet but also the workers," laments Marta. The creators of Alto Copete encourage them to get into the vintage car and revolutionize the cabinets.Look at the past to take care of the future.
