-After a week being the command of Córdoba host at the national level of the acts of the patron, how does it reach the final sprint, colonel?

-With a lot of enthusiasm. It is true that a lot of work has been and tiredness is accused, but with the satisfaction of the duty fulfilled. We wanted to prepare an exciting project for citizens to enjoy it and for what we have seen it has been worth all the effort and affection on.

-The Civil Guard has struggled to project an image of closeness and modernity, do you think the goal has been fulfilled?

-I hope so.It is up to me almost to value it from the barrier and ask the citizens. What we have done is to make ourselves known in each of the age and activities to which we dedicate ourselves. That is, we have cared for both the 177 -year -old tradition, with conferences; As our military nature, with parades and flag raised, like our future challenges, with a cybersecurity day.We have a beautiful act for students of 3rd of ESO in the framework of equality, which is one of our strategic lines. In that act, women in uniform gave testimony of life and explained why they chose this profession.

"The patron saint has been a lot of work but we have the satisfaction of the duty fulfilled"

-A Minister Marlaska made important ads on his visit that will affect the Civil Guard in Córdoba with the change of the command of Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel to Colonel. What will involve for practical purposes?

-A practical effects is a step in a trend that we have been fighting for several months and for which we have the support of my general direction.Córdoba as Province and Society is growing in institutional complexity and in the projects of the illusionary future. In that sense, the Civil Guard has to be prepared with sufficient abilities to give a good answer. It was the only Andalusian province in which there was no colonel. This news is accompanied by new teams to fight cybercrime and the reinforcement of certain barracks in the province. The colonel is a milestone on the important way, but only part of the reinforcement that the Civil Guard will have in Córdoba.

-So also spoke Interior Minister of Guardia Women and "Sticking Soil" they face to climb in the command chain.Do you share that vision? What percentage of guards are currently in Córdoba and how many are controls?

-The Minister's message was important: we need more women who enter the Civil Guard and that's why we strive to make it more attractive. They are figures similar to nationals around 8%.Something lower in Córdoba.Fluctuates the number of guards who arrive in the provinces every year, in the academies last year 30% of women entered. The assessment is that we are doing a good job, but it is not enough because we start from a deficit situation.Another advertisement of the minister who can favor this entry of women is that people with university degree will be allowed to access. That is, there are degree in biology or orthodontics, which had a hard time starting from the civil guard level with an opposition, already last, and then climbing within the institution. Now they can enter directly with a training of one or two years as lieutenants of the Civil Guard.

-What do you think this new and qualified sap will contribute?

-Very much.We have an increasingly prepared youth. We witness it here thanks to the agreement with the UCO to make practices the university students. In recent years, there are many petitioners of our Public Employment Offer. The level is very high and among those who enter there are doctors, masters, graduates...But the academic level is not only important, this is a vocation profession: that of serving the citizen.

"We are a cradle province of civil guards, who loves the Civil Guard very much"

-Athen additions are linked to new crimes, cybercrime, hence the so -called teams @ have been created. In Córdoba, one already works with five agents. Are they already worked on a specific case?

-It has already seen a very relevant increase in crimes online, almost all scams. We managed that citizen security personnel (patrols) acquire capacities to do a small investigation. In addition, since the last year, Córdoba is part of a Civil Guard pilot project that has crystallized in the teams @.Not only do we seek to investigate, we also know how to communicate and create cybersecurity culture in all citizens. That is, we are going to fight the crime, but we will also do a prevention work through a collaboration protocol with the Diputación, which will be signed shortly.

-He have more open fronts, do you have enough agents to carry out all these tasks? There are villages that continue to share agents ...

-It's never enough, it is what any manager would say in any other institution.I would like to have a province with more agents, with the newest cars, but within the national context, let's not forget that we are a cradle province of civil guards, a province that loves the Civil Guard and a province with huge attractiveness forThe guards, so the number of vacancies is minimal. We have very high coverage percentages and a very stable staff. That is a strength, having a personnel committed and motivated in Córdoba. With that exemplary citizen security levels are maintained and we can afford to deal with new challenges. If the Civil Guard could be put another adjective apart from Benemérita is that of versatile, we are continuously adapting by land, sea and air to the new challenges posed by citizen security.

-If the Duke of Ahumada raised his head, would he meet the Civil Guard?

-I think so, he was revolutionary in the beginning, he nurtured the best of the army, asked for a decent salary to make sure they would follow the ethical principles of the card and came to occupy an unprecedented place in the security model in Spain.Saving many distances, 177 years later, the public security model in Spain has kept its Civil Guard, which continues to face the challenges either with drones or protecting underwater heritage.

-I'm seeing the king there, what a surprise when he called him during the Covid, right?

-One of the greatest honors in my professional life. They were a few minutes of an endearing conversation, by a state manager very concerned about how the life of the civil guards was being and with what spirit were facing this service.Of course he said he did not expect less from the Civil Guard.

-The calls are notified before, I imagine.

-A hours before you receive official communication from the General Directorate and they tell you: "He will call you the king.Do I have to prepare something? No, you have to talk naturally ".And so it was, the king was very informed and worried about how the citizens of Córdoba were carrying the harsh restrictive measures in the alarm state.

The king was very informed and concerned about how the citizens of Córdoba were carrying the harsh restrictive measures in the alarm state "

-It seems that the end of the Covid has arrived.

-He hope, what we can testify is the desire that citizens had to go to normal life. The sample button has been the acts of the patron saint, with mass assistance.Hopefully if another wave returns, it is not of such severe effects. Our concern has an external and an internal aspect: keep health guards capable of continuing to provide the service. We have had companions in hospitals, although fortunately none active died by Covid.

-As institution, what has learned the Civil Guard in this pandemic.

.That the territorial deployment has been proven fundamental to some claim to concentrate, not to be in so many barracks. This importance has been demonstrated, for example, in the cast of masks the same day. That deployment is also important because we have to fight against depopulated Spain. We are interested in having prosperity in all villages because it is the place where our families live and we serve the citizen.

-It is 4 years in the city, would you like to stay?

-Yes, half of the projects that my colleagues have prepared me have not given me time.I am lucky because 4 years is a fairly long period for the destinations of the bosses. The Minister's announcement entailed that possibility, now we must wait for it to be published and the colonels that are interested, but I have the support of my colleagues and my bosses.

-With 19 years he entered the General Military Academy, was clear very soon, tradition, vocation?

-My father, of military origin, was National Police. He encouraged me and I am eternally grateful because he was not mistaken. But I think with 18 years or you have the vocation very forged or most do not know what they want to be.In this command we make a very beautiful experience when young people ask to enter academies. We have the kindness of several children from colleagues from the barracks in the body, among which there is a lady Ensign cadet of 4th year, who lend themselves every year to explain to applicants at a breakfast and in a relaxed atmosphere to whatHe does in an academy, what clothes you have to wear or if he studies a lot.

-What felt the first time he put on a tricorn?

-We are the only police force in the world that has the same hat from the Civil Guard to the general.

-What behavior model he liked looking to be a good guard.

-In many, in my classmates, in the bosses that I have had and in the values I learned in my family.I have had excellent companions and some bosses to whom I envy and admire.I've been lucky enough to get to Córdoba and find the best team in the world.

-Of his curriculum what catches my attention the most are the work in the Department of Security of the Presidency of the Government or that of the State Secretariat, I understand that very different from those of the command. What is more complex to deal with the troop or politicians?

-You have your moments.A command gives you closeness to colleagues and citizens. The decisions you make have effect, you can see and that is very rewarding. In places such as the Secretary of State, issues of international police cooperation, terrorism or immigration are discussed, where you never saw the result, although you were aware of the great responsibility you had to express the opinion of the Civil Guard or Spain in certain meetings. The beautiful thing is that the Civil Guard allows you to be a helicopter pilot, Motorist of the Seprona, boat pattern or advisor on international terrorism issues, so I do not get tired of recommending this profession to whom he really has a vocation of citizen service.

-I would not have been guard, what would he have liked to be?

-I have not considered it a lot, but before knowing the result of the exams I threw the papers at the University of Granada in the road engineer, although I liked more biology.

-Have you lived in a barracks house? What do you learn there that you don't learn in another place?

-Yes, currently I live in the command, also in Seville's and in the Mollina and Nerja barracks. It is a novel, unique concept, which makes it not only the civil guard but all his family with whom.Today society goes in another sense, and you can move, come and go on the bird...But there was a historical moment in which they were whole families riding with four bags on a train and appearing in a town, and now to see where the barracks is.Now there are barracks houses in Córdoba that are very worthy facilities thanks to the State, the Diputación and the municipalities. It is about encouraging the guards to live in the barracks because that gives the mayor, the captain and all.

It is about encouraging the guards to live in the barracks because that gives security to the mayor, the captain and all "

It is a concept that responds to immediacy and service vocation.Living in a barrack house has a plus of singularity. Here at 3 in the morning we organize the device that will go to dismantle a marijuana plantation in a town in the province. Some episodes that are lived here are not lived on any street in the city. That makes our families have a lot of merit because they endure us and love us.When at 8 in the middle of the pandemic they were applauded to the toilets here and then the anthem of the Civil Guard was sung. That is why in the central act a tribute was made.

-When will the transfer in Puente Genil become effective?

-We are working on it, although we need a part of us say documentary.Meanwhile the General Directorate of the Civil Guard has decentralized credit to acquire furniture and telecommunications. We have a two or three months schedule for the day we say we stop serving here let's all go this afternoon we provide from there.

-What was the destiny in which he has learned more and what was his worst moment as a guard?

-He liked me all and the best, the current. They have been very different experiences: I have been in the blue summer nerja and in La Moncloa. In all I have learned from magnificent professionals. The worst moment, by far, when a partner has fallen into an act of service. The Civil Guard has defeated the tools of the rule of law to national terrorism that we had.It was very hard to attend funerals for those colleagues.Thank God, we are in other times and our barracks are increasingly open.In Córdoba it is a joy because we live facing the street and that is what we want to boost.

-A couple of weeks ago, convened by the AUGC, thousands of guards claimed better working conditions and compliance with the salary equalization agreement with the regional police, do you think your claim is fair?

-I don't know them in detail, but what is good news is that we have a natural functioning of professional associations within the Civil Guard. In fact we are in the electoral period to the Council of the Civil Guard. As for the remuneration, there is an agreement that is in force and has meant an important improvement, which I consider quite fair. But I do not know in detail the claim.

- Do you think civil guards can carry tattoos?

-I do not know.I know that work is being done, because on the one hand you have to maintain individual freedom and on the other hand, we have to maintain an institutional message. We dress uniform for the citizen to know that he is facing a security agent. But of course, people can access people up to 40 years and you cannot rule them out for having a tattoo.

-What advice would give your self of the past and which one who wanted to enter the body?

-At my last self, be a patient and more observer. And who wants to be a civil guard, encourage him.At this time it costs effort but it is worth it.It is very demanding to be formed to act on the street, but it is an integral formation, both physical and intellectual, of the best.

-Do you see civil guards such as iron or read books by Lorenzo Silva or are they like journalist movies for my guild, science fiction?

-I'm not a regular consumer but because I don't have time.I like a good police movie and both the novels and the historical books of Lorenzo Silva. But I also look for me between oxygen or news from other areas because it is healthy. In the Civil Guard we cannot live from doors inside.
