Ómicron, la nueva variante dominante del COVID-19, al ser más contagiosa, impone utilizar apropiadamente el cubrebocas para evitar los contagios, los cuales, en las últimas semanas, han registrado un incremento exponencial.
Ante ello, el doctor Alejandro Macías, profesor investigador en la Universidad de Guanajuato, adscrito a la División de Ciencias de la Salud, explica cuál es la manera correcta de utilizar los cubrebocas.
“Podemos decir que usamos inapropiadamente los cubrebocas, pues no hemos tenido una buena directriz. Los cubrebocas de tela o bufandas o caretas en este momento no funcionan, puesto que este virus es muy contagioso”, asevera.
