El desabasto de materias primas para la industria de la moda provocado por la pandemia representa para México una oportunidad para que los fabricantes nacionales retomen el mercado doméstico.
La ruptura de la cadena de valor es uno de los principales retos que atraviesa la industria de la moda con el rezago observado en el hemisferio occidental, aseguró Emilio Penhos Mougrabi, presidente de la Cámara Nacional de la Industria del Vestido (Canaive), al inicio de Ia edición 76 de Intermoda.
Puntualizó que el desabasto de materias primas y productos terminados ha generado una dificultad en la confección de las prendas de vestir debido a la falta de insumos.

Durante la inauguración de la edición 76 de Intermoda, en Guadalajara, Luis Roberto Arechederra, titular de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico (Sedeco) de Jalisco, informó que con un valor de 2 mil 476 millones de pesos la industria de la moda representa 4.8 percent of the national gross domestic product.
