From anonymity to fame in just one month. The brilliant progression is not the work, as is usual lately, of a television 'reality' or of any viral event. Against all odds, poetry is the tool that has placed Amanda Gorman on everyone's lips. Since her appearance at the inauguration of President Joe Biden -with a moving poem that declared the beginning of an "era of redemption" in the United States and reminded that "there is always light", even in the darkest moments-, the 22-year-old years is one of the most requested faces in the country. Nothing less than the Super Bowl, the most followed sporting event in the United States, has had his presence. It has also been the cover of 'Time' and luxury fashion brands compete for it.

For Biden's inauguration, he wore a much-reviewed Prada, a firm with which he had already cultivated a previous relationship. In fact, the Italian brand was the first to notice, through her Instagram profile, the potential of this young woman and her verses full of activism and feminist struggle.

For his speech (recorded) in the final of the American football league, he chose a Moschino suit.

Gorman since childhood. She was 16 years old when she was awarded best young poet in Los Angeles, her hometown, 18 when she entered Harvard, and 19 when she was awarded best national poet at the same university.

His training included a stay in Spain, where he became especially interested in the figure of Lorca.

The African-American poet was the youngest to deliver a poem at a US presidential inauguration, and received almost immediate praise upon finishing her recitation of her work, titled 'The Hill We Climbed.' "Although democracy can be periodically delayed, it can never be permanently defeated," she stated then.

Gorman had a bit of a creative block when writing his poem until the attack on Congress, when he clearly saw the solemn but optimistic message he wanted to send to the country, as he has explained to various media outlets.

It was the first lady of the United States, Jill Biden, who asked to include Gorman in the inauguration ceremony after seeing a video of a declamation that the young woman had made in Washington, revealed the newspaper 'The New York Times' .

“It was not a possibility that a poet would perform in something like the Super Bowl. She had never heard of it. Throughout my life I have strived to be able to bring poetry to those spaces where you would never expect it, so that we can benefit from the way it heals and resuscitates us," he declared on 'The Daily Show.'
